My Service at the Church 

My Service at the church, before the Christmas event that will happen on December 13th, at my church, which is called HKBP Bandung Timur, that was located on JL Jakarta no 11, Bandung. wanted to make a kids' show at the event, there is a kids' dance, drama, modern dance, etc., and the event will begin at a different time for each kids' show. For the Elementary school students, the event will begin on December 6, but for junior high school students, it will begin on December 13th.

At first, I felt lost because I didn't know which event to choose, and that because the memories of last year's Christmas, which I didn't join, but the next day. After some thought, I decided to take the mandok-hata event. But, only a week later, my mom wanted me to join the choir group instead. So I had to abandon the mandok-hata event. The first few practices, surrounded by familiar faces and the new ones, made me excited to sing together, it brought me a sense of joy that I didn’t expect. Then, on Saturday, my aunt told my mom and I the news that a family wedding in Jakarta was set for December 13th. My heart sank, but my mind floated, not only because I'd miss the Christmas event, but also because I wouldn't be able to sing with my newfound friends. The sadness that came to me wasn’t deep, but this made me realized how much the choir had meant to me in such a short time.

At first, I was sad, but when my mom was talking with my aunt, she said that her son needed new clothes that were expensive just for her son to wear when practicing with the choir group, the same group that I joined for the event. And my aunt quickly went to the mall just at the last minute before practice, but her son didn't like the clothes, so she had to buy one online, that her son liked. And after I heard the story, I felt really sorry for my aunt because of the event.

After all these experiences, I realized that sometimes God allows difficult things to happen, not because He wants us to suffer, but maybe to protect us from something we can't see. The choir incident made me reflect more deeply on my challenges. Now, whenever something bad happens, I try to look for a reason behind it and see what I can learn from it. I hope to use these moments to build my character and find ways to help others, just as I learned to understand my difficulties.
